I am the Local Tourist.
I dream of traveling the world and discovering the many wonders that it holds. Unfortunately, like so many of us lately, I'm a bit short on funds right now, so my plans to travel abroad must be put on hold. Until then, I've decided to do a little traveling in my own backyard.
I'm from Los Angeles and have lived here most of my life. However, even though I've lived here for so long, there are still many sites in L.A (and it's surrounding areas) that I've never visited.
This isn't really so strange. I'm sure that many native New Yorkers have never been to The Statue of Liberty or climbed to the top of the Empire State Building. And, I think there are many Texans who have never been to The Alamo. And, I bet there are a bunch of native Bostonians who have never seen the U.S.S Constitution.
Well, I now have the opportunity and the time to become a tourist in my own city and discover some LA sites that I've never seen. While I'm at it, I think I'll re-visit some LA spots I haven't seen in years! We'll see if they're worth recommending...or if they're a waste of tourist time! This should be fun!
Every city has places to see. Feel free to come along for the ride!
